Commissioning

Enquiries for commissions can be made by phone or email. 

It is good to have basic thoughts of preferences. Using images of past work or of interesting examples by the client, I will draw up some ideas in the form of sketches. Then having agreed a design, and discussed materials (such as steel, corten, stainless, brass, copper etc ) a timeline will be agreed. This will be dependent on existing work commitments but can be as little as two weeks for a bird bath, a month for small domestic gates or railings and longer for more substantial pieces.

A free consultation, on site if necessary, starts the journey and having understood the costs and timings including the preparatory work, the fabrication and installation. I can work with budgets and have ideas that fit within reasonable limits.

Staying in communication throughout allows for adjustments to particular elements of the design. 

Having worked in this way for over 35 years, I am used to interpreting the ideas of clients, creating their vision, and delivering on time.


In addition to commissions, I am now offering sessions in metal sculpting. This includes welding, forge work and bass relief copper work. Please contact me using the link below for introductory day costing £100.
